Overview

The two-year (April 1, 2024, to March 31, 2026) patient-to-physician Secure Messaging Proof-of-Concept (PoC) Pilot will be ending March 31, 2026, in accordance with the terms of the Ministry of Health and Ontario Medical Association 2021 Physician Service Agreement.

Claims Processing for Registered Physicians

Physicians who are registered in the Secure Messaging PoC can continue to submit claims for public funding provided by the Ontario Virtual Care Program (OVCP) for the delivery of eligible uninsured services to patients by secure messaging delivered up to and including March 31, 2026. Physicians have 3 months from the date of service to submit claims for eligible services.
