The Ministry of Health has updated the Target Population Service Reports to include a new service to the Cervical Cancer Screening Category to align with guidelines under the Ontario Cervical Screening Program run by Ontario Health.

Changes to the Target Population Service Reports

Beginning with the TPSRs produced in April 2026, new laboratory service ‘L698 – Human Papillomavirus (HPV) Screen’ has been added to the Cervical Cancer Screening category list of reported services.

The service will be reported to primary care physicians when their eligible patient between the ages of 25 and 69 years of age, inclusive, has received the L698 screening test in the 66 months prior to March 31 of the fiscal year for which the cumulative preventive care bonus is being claimed.
