Overview

The Ministry of Health and the Ontario Medical Association have been working together to implement the 2024 PSA. In accordance with the PSA, additional funding has been allocated to increase the FHG Comprehensive Care premium.

Effective April 1, 2026, the FHG Comprehensive Care premium will be increased from 10% to 15% on the approved Fee-for-Service (FFS) rates for eligible services provided to enrolled/assigned patients of a FHG physician or enrolled/assigned patients of any other FHG physician in the same group.

Effective April 1, 2027, the FHG Comprehensive Care premium will be increased from 15% to 20% on approved FFS rates for eligible services provided to enrolled/assigned patients of a FHG physician or enrolled/assigned patients of any other FHG physician in the same group.

No changes to billing procedures or claim submission processes are required. Physicians should continue to submit these services at their regular FFS rates. Claims billed for services provided on or after April 1, 2026, will automatically be paid at 115% of the regular FFS rate on the monthly Remittance Advice (RA).
