The Ministry of Health (ministry) and the Ontario Medical Association (OMA) have been working together to modernize the descriptions assigned to the numeric diagnostic codes used in Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP) service provider claim submissions.
New Diagnostic Codes
- 308 – Gender Dysphoria
- 489 – Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV)
Deleted Diagnostic Codes
- 100 – Venereal Diseases
- 903 – Social, Marital and Family Problems: Illegitimacy
